After about a month on Kickstarter, PlatinumGames’ has just ended successfully.The final tally is $2,235,547 pledged by 33,197 backers.This is a metric ton of money more tha the original goal, which PlatinumGames had initially set at just over $51,000. Many of the stretch goals have also been unlocked, ensuring that the experience will be better than ever.This is certainly a strong show of support by PlatinumGames’ fans, that will soon be able to enjoy The Wonderful 101: Remastered on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.We already know that game will launch on different dates: North America will get the game first on May 19, followed by Europe on May 22. Japanese gamers will have to wait the longest, as they’ll get The Wonderful 101: Remastered on June 11.The Wonderful 101: Remastered brings back PlatinumGames’ former Wii U-exclusive action game from 2013 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC via Steam.Incidentally, recently we also learned that, which is yet to be revealed.Another was It’s PlatinumGames first self-published original IP and it’s directed by Hideki Kamiya himself.
.With one day left to go in its campaign, The Wonderful 101 Remastered has cleared another funding goal, reaching an impressive $2 million. The news comes just days after ' Studio Head Atsushi Inaba in the project, as opposed to finding funding. This is quite common for most video game Kickstarter campaigns, but typically the games aren't released until a significant time after the campaign has ended. In the case of The Wonderful 101 Remastered, fans will get to play the game on May 19th on, PlayStation 4, and PC.The money raised by the Kickstarter will actually go towards funding the campaign's unlocked stretch goals, which just increased, after today's announcement. As a result of the $2 million milestone, Luka's Second Mission has been unlocked., and it's a 2D, sidescrolling spin-off of. At this time, it's unknown whether or not Luka's Second Mission will be a second spin-off, or if it will be extra content for the first game.
So now, PlatinumGames is hoping to self-publish the game on modern platforms with the help of a Kickstarter campaign that reached its initial.
It's also unknown if these adventures will be part of The Wonderful 101 Remastered, or if they'll be offered separately, as was the case with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. PlatinumGames has revealed two additional stretch goals for the brief time remaining in the campaign. At $2.25 million, an orchestral recording of the game's soundtrack will be released. To Platinum's credit, they have used the success of their own Kickstarter to highlight other games in need of some help getting across the finish line.
